Translation: 2021 Road safety poster collaboration

We created a collaboration between road safety professionals and communication designers.

Why? Because while road safety researchers and practitioners are not communication designers, they are required to communicate key findings and insights from their work.

At the 2021 Australasian Road Safety Conference, we matched the authors of eight poster submissions with a designer to translate the key findings of the research to engage readers and encourage them to find out more about the project.

  • Project directors: Dr Marilyn Johnson (conference scientific chair) and Dr Robbie Napper

  • Art director: Warren Taylor

  • Designers, students and alumni from Monash University: Zach Beltsos-Russo, Renee de Vlugt, Marissa Hor, Annie Isom and Ben Simkiss

2021 Australasian Road Safety Conference Prizes

  • People’s Choice Poster - Road Safety in the Workplace
